Innovation in Research

Our mission is to enhance our understanding of health issues impacting both animals and humans using basic science, clinical, and translational research approaches in order to improve animal, human and global health.

In support of our mission, we will:

• Create a supportive and diverse research environment.
  
  
• Pioneer new knowledge and research discoveries to mitigate emerging challenges at the interface of animals, humans, and the environment.
  
  
• Train students interested in expanding their scope of capabilities through offering them a variety of research opportunities.
  
  
• Identify opportunities for SSVM researchers to interact and collaborate across the Rowan campus.
  
  
• Foster the involvement of junior investigators in translational research.

Focus areas of study include developing novel treatments for emerging diseases, biomedical engineering, respiratory medicine and one health.
