Accreditation

The school is seeking accreditation by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (COE). The COE is the U.S. Department of Education-approved accrediting agency for colleges and schools of veterinary medicine in the U.S., Canada and international institutions.

There are a series of steps each new school must follow before receiving full accreditation. Schools must adhere to 11 accreditation standards demonstrating that they offer high-quality educational experiences as outlined by the AVMA.

A letter of intent has been submitted to the COE and the School’s request for a Consultative Site Visit was approved. The Consultative Site Visit, tentatively planned to take place in 2023, provides an unofficial appraisal of a school’s proposed plan to comply with the standards. This visit will be followed by a Comprehensive Site Visit. Successful completion of this step would make the program eligible for a Letter of Reasonable Assurance, which would allow for matriculation of the inaugural class.
